About the John O'Lague Galleria

The Galleria is named after John O'Lague, who was an accomplished graphic artist and champion of the arts in Hayward. He was instrumental in creating the support infrastructure for the arts in Hayward and  greater Alameda County.

The Galleria is managed by the Hayward Arts Council (HAC) under rules established in a 1998 Letter of Understanding with the City of Hayward.

The Galleria is located within Hayward City Hall, 777 B Street in downtown Hayward. It is free to visit and open to the public Monday through Friday, from 9AM to 5PM. Street parking and a public parking garage on Watkins Street are available.

Hayward is geographically situated in the middle of the Bay Area; the John O'Lague Galleria is a destination for Bay Area artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts. It greatly enriches our Hayward community.
