HAC and HAHS recognized in 2025
Senator Dr. Aisha Wahab staff Barbara Ledezma and Assembly member Liz Ortega staff Karishma Khatri presented proclamations to both HAC and HAHS during the reception of the "Celebrating our Asian American Hawaiian Heritage Pacific Islander" Exhibition at the Historical Society Museum. Congratulations to the exhibiting artists and contributors to the museum display. It was a memorable event for all!!
On April 23, 2024, the City of Hayward proclaimed April as Arts, Culture and Creativity. Mayor of Hayward Mark Salinas and council members presented the proclamation to Hayward Arts Council (HAC) Executive Director Winda Shimizu and Hayward Area Historical Society (HAHS) Executive Director Diane Curry. They were joined by HAC and HAHS board members and supporters.
