Jacqueline Cedillos , Board Member
Jacqueline Cedillos is a Latina fine art photographer and Oakland native whose work centers on nature, light, and spiritual reflection. She is the founder of Las Hijas de la Tierra Photography, a practice rooted in honoring the sacred relationship between women, land, and storytelling.
Her photography explores themes of magical realism, renewal, and resilience, often drawing from the landscapes of the Bay Area. Through intentional composition and natural light, she captures images that feel both intimate and expansive.
In addition to her artistic practice, Jacqueline is an educator and community advocate in the East Bay. Her dual roles inform her belief that art should be accessible, transformative, and reflective of diverse cultural voices.
Her work has been exhibited locally in community spaces, including the Weekes Branch Library in Hayward, alongside regional artists and students. Jacqueline continues to expand her presence in the Bay Area arts community, building a body of work that bridges fine art photography, cultural identity, and environmental reverence.
As both an educator and artist, she believes art should not be exclusive or intimidating. She is committed to bridging fine art and community, ensuring that cultural spaces feel welcoming and inclusive. Her goal is not only to exhibit her work, but to model what it looks like for a Latina Oakland native to build a sustainable creative practice while remaining rooted in service to community.
