Hayward Arts Council has six local galleries, five of them in a walkable area around downtown. You can park at the municiple lot across from City Hall and move from the John O'Lague Galleria and Gallery Two in City Hall, to the Main Library Galleries on the second floor, to the HAHS Gallery in the Hayward Historical Society building, to the Senior Center Gallery in the Hayward Senior Center (check out the Japanese Tea Garden while you're there). Be sure to check the hours of operation for all locations before you go. It's only a short drive from downtown to the new Weekes Library Gallery in South Hayward.
1&2. John O’Lague Galleria and Gallery Two

3. Hayward Public Library Gallery, 888 C Street
The downtown Hayward Library devotes several areas on the second floor to community-based art by talented and diverse artists and local organizations.

4. HAHS Art Gallery, 2380 Foothill Blvd., 2nd Floor
Located inside Hayward Area Historical Society bringing a unique art space that blends art with local history and culture.

5. Hayward Senior Center, 22325 North 3rd Street
Situated between the Douglas Morrison Theatre and the Hayward Japanese Gardens, it features exhibits by local artists working in a variety of styles and media.

6. Weekes Library Gallery – NEW, 27300 Patrick Avenue
Provides an on-going showcase of student artwork from all levels of the school district.
